La Paz, BOLIVIA. Salar de Uyuni y many red colored lakes.

We finally entered La Paz and found ourselves at Wild Rover Hostel. (Which I keep calling red rover, a little throw back to the playground days). The hostel was great and run by Irish people so I immediately felt at home. Maria found a job there working as a bar tender, watch out because she might be a heavy pourer!!! Anyway, we toured the city and checked out San Pedro prison. (Read Marching Powder by Rusty Young to learn more about this fascinating prison, so different than how our prison system is run back home.)We visited the Salt Flats and then sadly had to part our ways. But no worries we left in good fashion with a little celebration at the Rover.

  2. Love that pic of you & Ria on the salt flats! I'd love an explanation of the train tracks picture though, had you had enough due to the stomach bug?
